Dr. Jeremy Everett, Baylor Collaborative Executive Director, D.Min., believes food insecurity can be addressed with a focused approach. The Hunger Free Communities Certificate Course aims to unite leaders in addressing hunger by providing a step-by-step framework to create sustainable, community-driven solutions to food insecurity that honor the dignity of every person. The course empowers participants to implement evidence-based interventions and build cross-sector coalitions that drive lasting change.

You’ll learn how to guide your community through these five key phases:

    1. Identify a shared vision for a hunger-free future
    2. Complete a landscape analysis to understand the challenges and opportunities in your area
    3. Host a summit to engage stakeholders and align efforts
    4. Develop a strategic multisectoral plan to increase food security
    5. Implement actionable interventions that will have long-lasting, meaningful impact

Founded in 2009, the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty began with the goal of making sure every Texan has access to three nutritious meals each day. Using a collective impact approach, the Baylor Collaborative worked alongside local communities to build coalitions of likeminded stakeholders committed to ending hunger in their communities and partnered with school districts and community organizations to make sure more children had access to meals outside of school. Today, the Baylor Collaborative continues to partner with stakeholders across Texas, the nation, and the globe fighting to end hunger.
